Dear Mr.Mason I am writing to say that I really enjoyed your poetry and creative writing. My favourite poem of yours was Out of this World. I learnt that poems don't have be in full sentences and they can be long or short. The poems you read were really funny and they had some great rythms and were really catchy. Thank you for coming to Blofield school because everyone enjoyed the poems you read to us. From Morgan LLewellyn, Blofield School Yr6

Dear Mr Mason, I am writing to say that you taught us so much and that when I use poems in the future I will find it easier to write them. My favourite poems were all the ones that you sang including "You go to the clinic". I liked making all the different poems, I made a poem about the sun and I really enjoyed doing that. Thankyou for coming to our school. From Megan Wilson, Blofield Primary school, yr 6.

Thank you David Mason for coming to Blofield School and talking to us about poetry. You taught me that poetry wasn't all that boring and that now I know I was actually quite good at it. Poetry for me now is really exciting and I try to sing poetry in a catchy tune. From Key Stage 2.

Dear Mr. Mason, Just writing to say thank you very much for the great writing session you kindly gave up your time for. I will use the information well that I learnt in my writing and my poems. It was great fun writing better poems than we normally do in school and listening to even better pratised poems. Thankyou once again for a brilliant day!!!! From Blofield Primary School, KS2.

Dear Mr Mason, I'm writing to say thank you for coming to Blofield School for our enrichment week. You told us loads of funny and humorous jokes which we all really liked. I loved the poems you sung they were really catchy and once we got the jist of them we all couldnt get it out of our heads. I didn't have a favourite poem because I liked them all. You have really inspired me to write a lot more poems and that they can be about anything not just one idea. I really enjoyed the session. From Katie Guy. Blofield School. Yr 6

I think you made literacy so much better by making us feel more involved. Its much better than sitting down and listening to what we are going to do. It got us really exited about writing stories. Thank you for coming to our school.

Year 2 Pupil Praise

Here is some of what the Year Two pupils thought of David Mason's performance at Attleborough Infant School:

I put the picture in my head and I just wrote what I saw - Abbie S.

It made me think of more descriptive words and gave a big boost to my writing

It made me feel like I could be an author when I grow up

I want to do it all over again on Monday

I feel happy because I can do it

The most exciting day of my life

It made me feel so happy - I want to do it every single day

The best day ever

Year 6 Letters

I love your poetry because it's hilarious and in lot of detail. You're a very confident person and I appreciate the time I had with you.
You made me think about poem as when I am older I want to write poems. Thank you again.
Thank you ever so much for coming to school and sharing some of your wonderful poetry. I thought you were really funny and my favourite poem was the one about the girl in the swimming pool. I really want one of your books because they are really funny and fabulous.
All your poems were excellent, especially 'Muffin', because it's really hard to say a lot of words (that make sense) very fast and make them rhyme, so I really enjoyed it.
